Flex-on brings you more and cares about your safety with the New Safety Stirrup and its flexible retractable arm.

The Flex-on Safe-On Ultra Grip Stirrups are the perfect choice for all riders, combining comfort, performance and style, along with a unique flexible arm for increased safety.

This structure protects against the risk of breakages. A flexible and retractable arm on the outer side helps to reduce the risk of injury; if you fall from your horse, this arm 'breaks' away to prevent your foot from being stuck in the stirrup. The retractable arm can then be easily screwed back into place.

Thanks to shock absorbers made of elastomer springs, a wide range of custom options with different colours of frame, footbed and shock absorbers.

Inclined treads enhance the naturals 'heels down' position, providing increased stability and perfect positioning of the leg, while the Ultra Grip footbed is made from moulded POM with crimped pins made of hardened steel.

The Safety Stirrup has all the same components of the Green Composite Stirrup; one wide base of support and two pieces of shock absorbers.

Easy to clean (simply wipe with water!) and available to customise in a range of colours, the Flex-on Safe-On Stirrups are the ultimate choice for both everyday and competition use.

The footrest comes in 6 different variations - Mixed, Incline or Flat with either Grip or Ultra Grip.

The Ultra Grip has metal spikes inserted into the rubber base for added grip.

The Elastomer is the shock absorbtion element of the Flex-on Stirrups and is placed below the Footrest.

The Elastomer for the Flex-on Green Composite Stirrups is in medium hardness and comes in 13 different colours.

The stirrups are shipped with the outside Flexible Safety Arm in the same colour of the stirrup.

If you wish to customise your stirrups with the Safety Arm in a different/contrasting colour - this can be ordered with your stirrups at an added cost - but will be fitted for you before despatch.

If you wish to have the Safety Arm in a different/contrasting colour in addition to your stirrups for future use and self-fitting - please order separately.

Flex-On Safe-On stirrups are branded as Safety Stirrups - and the stirrup are designed so that the flexible arm should give way in case of a fall.

However, like all safety equipment - there is no 100% guarantee - and the release of the arm depends upon the circumstances.

The release of the arm will require a certain amount of momentum and sideways pressure on the arm - and if the pressure is downwards into the footrest - then the arm will not release.

Other examples of safety equipment which is designed to reduce the risk of injury are - airbags in a car and safety bindings on skies. In the latter example - the skies are expected to stay in place when skiing normally - and only release through exceptional sideways or forward pressure. Often accidents happen when skiing slowly or just standing in the lift queue - when momentum and pressure is low.

Standard stickers are black with "on" in the same colour as the elastomer.
